have ever been written. While reading my morning paper, I cam across these word in an article about preaching:
"Generic and abstract homilies which obscure the directness of God's Word should be avoided, as well as useless digressions which risk drawing greater attention to the preacher than to the heart of the Gospel message." Pope Benedict XVI
These simple, clear words should be heeded by ministers of all denominations. In the words of a modern song "it's not about us; it's about Jesus."
